the man behind the bar

Hi, I’m Alan and I live in Wincanton and have to date met some lovely people who have shown an interest in there being something different on the high street. Having run some huge beer festivals across the country and maintained some solid links with micro brewers, I decided to open a Craft Bar and Eatery.

 

The last in particular 20 years, has seen me visit a large proportion of Europe along with many visits to the far east drinking some of the most random draughts in the world. After 9 months of very hard work, working with some fine tradespersons the Wincawel Tap n Spile come to fruition.

 

I’m specialising where possible, in providing you all with organic, non commercial alcohol. Where possible we will only provide alcohol that you will not get in a public house. Every 2 barrels of beer will not be repeated so that you as the customer should have something different to try on every visit. I hope that I can share my knowledge with you at the Wincawel Tap n’ Spile soon.
